The bell hooks center

The bell hooks center is an inclusive space where historically underrepresented students can come to be as they are, outside of the social scripts that circumscribe their living. The center curates programs, collaborations and events that affirm these students’ sense of self and belonging—on campus and in the world. This work is motivated by bell hooks’ famous insights that “patriarchy has no gender” and that, therefore, “feminism is for everybody.”

The Espacio Cultural Latinx (ECL) is open to all people. Non-Traditional Student Clubhouse

The Non-Traditional Student Clubhouse (NTSC) is available for use by all nontraditional students. The NTSC is located at 121 W. Jefferson St. inside the Margaret S. Austin SENS House. The NTSC is an ecologically designed structure constructed as part of the Ecovillage and is largely self-reliant for energy, water and waste treatment, employing a wide range of technologies for energy conservation and production, water conservation, waste treatment and use of local materials in construction. Nontraditional students can enjoy the many amenities offered during open hours or reserve the space for an event.
